Comparing Pre Industrial and Post Industrial Production Conditions

BEFORE the Industrial Revolution, women would spin yarn by hand in the home. The woman in this video shows us how a simple, human powered spinning wheel works.

DURING and AFTER the Industrial Revolution, yarn would be spun on machines called Spinning Mules. These machines would be located in factories and could do the work of dozens of women in a fraction of the time. This video shows how a power spinner works.
