Lack of Trust between the United States and Russia

Instructions: View sources A-F and answer the questions about them. Sources A-C are about why the Unites States did not trust Russia and sources E-H are about why Russia did not trust the United States.

The United States actively opposed the Russian Revolution from the very beginning. The president of the United States during the Russian Revolution, Woodrow Wilson, decided to enter World War I to make the world “safe for democracy” and viewed the communist ideas of Lenin as opposed to democracy. Accordingly, when the civil war erupted in Russia, Wilson sent troops to Russia to fight against Lenin to try and prevent the communists from coming to power
